What
an incredibly creative time we had on our trip today!
This
morning, Room 9 set off on a bus to the Botanic Gardens for a Watercolour
Workshop. We were extremely lucky to
have so many fantastic parent helpers come with us.
Bianca
(our art teacher) showed us some examples of watercolours first.
Next, we were given some paper,
a pencil and a clipboard. We chose
somewhere to sit and sketch something that we could see in the gardens.
Then Bianca showed us how to
use the watercolours and which paintbrushes were best to use, before sending us
off to give them a go.
Check out a couple of examples
of our finished products!
After lunch, we had a great
(and hot!) time on the playground before heading back to school for a relaxing
afternoon.
I would like to extend a HUGE
Thank You to everyone who came along and helped out, as well as to our art
teacher Bianca.
An extra special ‘thank you’
goes out to Lizzy, who managed to get funding for the cost of the bus for us!
